On August 1-2, Bio3 implants, with the assistance of the Uganda Dental Association, conducted an implantology course for dentists in the country. The program of the event consisted of a theoretical and a practical part.
In the theoretical part, lectures were given on the basic principles of osteoregeneration, bone density and stages of resorption, the causes of peri-implantitis and other important aspects of dental implantation. The treatment planning tactics and the implantation protocol were described in detail, a discussion of all issues of interest was held. Immediately after the theoretical part, there was a practical course - operations on phantoms.
The next day, the participants of the event performed several operations on real patients using the premium implant system Bio3 Implants.
Dr. Imantas Vatenas was the leading lecturer and trainer of the practical part of the course . He has rich experience not only in clinical practice as a surgeon and specialist in various fields of dentistry, but also in teaching.
